In the early 1930s, the Mousset family acquired Château des Fines Roches (45 ha), located next to Ch. Fortia. In 2003, the family bought the neighbouring Château Jas de Bressy, only 5 ha. "Jas" means a shelter for the shepherds. Over the years, it grew into a castle. It came into the hands of the Bressy family. The wine is made from 80-year-old vines. And these vines are planted on the so typical soil of the region: with large pebbles. These pebbles retain the heat of the day and 'radiate' it at night, so that the grapes can ripen optimally. 75% Grenache with Syrah and Mourvèdre. 18 months in barriques. Aromas of blueberries, mushrooms and truffle. Spicy. Full flavour with firm tannins but ripe. A spicy finish with some pepper, toast and cherries. Well balanced. A very successful wine. Highly recommended! Bettane & Desseauve 14,5/20
