The grapes of this Amarone della Valpolicella from Veneto are dried for about 3 months after the harvest and thus lose almost 50% of their juice. In this way, a wine is obtained with an enormous concentration. The wine matures about two years in large oak barrels. These barrels do not give off a woody flavour, but ensure that the wine can mature properly and that the full-bodied tannins become a little softer. Because the wine has such a concentrated taste, it can be kept well (until ± 2026). It is already delicious with game dishes with a powerful sauce or a steak from the grill.
