Description
Small vineyard with mainly clay and gravel soil, near the church of Pomerol. The château is part of Château Ferrand. The vineyards of Ferrand are situated on the southern part of the Pomerol plateau. Haut-Ferrand, the name says it all, on the highest part of this gravelly plateau.
Grape composition: 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. After maceration, the wine matures for 18 months in oak barrels. Of these, 1/3 are renewed annually. The wine is powerful, but round, with nicely rounded tannins and a deliciously long aftertaste. Pomerol at its best, so enjoy!
