Description

Vignobles Carteyron, Château Penin, Bordeaux

In 1854 the domain was started by the Carteyron family. Vines and orchards. Since 1984 Patrick Carteyron is the owner & wine maker of Château Penin and Grand Clauset. Not so strange because Penin has been owned by the Carteyron family for 5 generations. Grand Clauset he got through his mother’s side. In total 40 ha near Génissac not far from Libourne and Saint-Emilion. In this area between the Dordogne and the Garonne a lot of Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur is made. Also by Patrick. Next to red also white, rosé and clairet.

The attention that the wines of Carteyron get in the press is overwhelming. For example, the Domain is again listed in the 2018 Guide “Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France (RVF)” and has received an Honor Award in the 2018 Guide Dussert-Gerber. The Domain is further listed in the 2018 Guide Hachette, the 2018 Guide Hachette rosé and in the 2018 Guid Bettane + Dessauve (2 stars).
